Getting a good night's sleep is so important for our overall health and well-being. A good night's rest allows our mind and body a chance to rejuvenate, heal, repair, relax and recharge for a new day ahead.

So if you are one that has a hard time calming down before bed, suffers from restless sleep or has trouble switching the "off" button then try this breath technique to help calm the mind and let go of any tension and stress before climbing into bed for a warm, cosy and peaceful night's rest.

Life can never prepare you for something like losing a child, but when it happens, just know that you’ll have the tools. And if you don’t, you’ll find the tools that you need to get through it. I am one of those people that does believe everything happens for a reason, and although something as tragic as a child’s death can be unbelievably unbearable and extremely hard to face with grace, we managed to do just that and turn our lives around. Let’s just say a whole new perspective of life was thrown onto us in a big way.

Forgiveness doesn't mean you have to be friends, or that you receive someone back into your life. What it means is that you become free of the hurt and free of resentment. Not only does it allow freedom on your journey, it allows the other person to be free on theirs.

Started the New Year off with some fine resolutions only to find you are feeling heavy, drained, foggy and a little off kilter? It's never too late to free yourself from the dust of the past. Before we move forward sometimes it's better to take a step back and just maybe it's time to take a moment and check in with yourself? How much baggage are you carrying around on your back? Or lugging behind you? dragging its heaviness with every step. Like baggage full of clothes stored away, our undealt with emotions can start to pile up and store. Before we know it there is stuff (lots of stuff) taking up space. Now is the time to simplify, clear it out and give yourself the gift of space, freedom and weightlessness to fly.

We live in a ridiculously fast paced world, and every day is all about business or that dreadful word 'busyness'. We are so 'busy' - ticking off to do lists, making sure we keep our focus on the prize, the achievement at the end of the journey. The trouble is though, we are SO focused on the end of the journey that we forget to stop and celebrate the little things. 


It’s amazing what can happen when you embark on a journey with no expectations, not knowing where it will lead, what will happen or how things will turn out. All we knew is that we needed to take the leap, and trust the universe. We had just moved from Sydney Australia 5 months earlier and we were now living in Los Angeles USA. Exciting, fun and also challenging all at the same time, especially being away from your support network when you have a little 2 year old. Changing houses is enough let alone moving countries... But what a journey!
