1. Tell us a little about your journey?
I started where any self respecting new age spiritualist started. Googling, how to be spiritual! True story. After getting a mixed bag of answers that didn't really help me I embarked on a global soul search visiting everyone from medicine men, tea leaf readers, healers, yogi's, guru's, authors, astrologists, numerologists... only to find the more I searched globally, the more answered I found in me, go figure!
2. Describe a day in the life of Emma!
I'm just the girl next door. A down to earth New Zealander whose usual day consists of work, a sweat session, writing session, and some kind of woo-woo therapy thrown in the mix. Be is acupuncture, massage, yoga, meditation, crystals, tarot.... Your friendly modern mystic slash plain Jane. That's what I love, I am no different to all my readers.
3. What inspired you to write the book?
I wrote The Soul Searcher's Handbook because it is the book I needed when I started out. I needed something non preachy, practical, relatable, that encompasses all religions, all new age practices to I could build my own bespoke spirituality. I wrote it because I felt the world needed this as much as I did, a no BS guide to living well with a pinch of spirituality and magic.
4. What keeps you centred + calm?
Transcendental meditation. 20 minutes, twice a day. And kundalini yoga when I have writers block.
5. Favourite mantra/affirmation of all time?
Who says. The art of questioning, expanding, and exploring new thoughts, new ideas, new possibilities.
7. Who is your no 1. spiritual crush?
I get asked this question a lot and have to be honest I am a bit of a spiritual slut when it comes to crushing. One day I'll be vibe'n with old mate Oprah, the next I'll be gah gah over Russel Brand, then Yogi Bhajan...
8. If you could have dinner with any 2 people in the world - dead or alive - who would they be?
My mother (passed over when I was 16) and the greek goddess Aphrodite.

9. What does the next 12 months have in store for you?

At the start of the year I have a Tarot course launching with MindBodyGreen,  and at the end of the year I have my next book 'Evolution of Goddess' coming out at the end of the year. Lots of magic and mayhem lined up for 2017!

10. What is your spirit animal?
I saw this dog the other day and laughed, saying it was my spirit animal!
